There is some evidence to suggest that metoclopramide can increase the rate of absorption of alcohol, raise maximum blood alcohol levels, and possibly increase
alcohol-related sedation.
At the risk of being over-cautious, warn all patients of the potential effects, and counsel against driving or undertaking other skilled tasks.
