ANGIOTENSIN II RECEPTOR ANTAGONISTS AND ANTIDIABETICS
No clinically relevant pharmacokinetic interactions occur between glibenclamide (glyburide) and candesartan, telmisartan or valsartan, or between tolbutamide and irbesartan. Losartan and possibly eprosartan may reduce awareness of hypoglycaemic symptoms.
The symptoms of hypoglycaemia may be reduced by losartan and possibly other angiotensin II receptor antagonists. Further study is needed to establish this interaction, but note that this is similar to the effect of ACE inhibitors
