ANGIOTENSIN II RECEPTOR ANTAGONISTS AND EPOETIN
Epoetin may cause hypertension and thereby reduce the effects of angiotensin II receptor antagonists. An additive hyperkalaemic effect is theoretically possible.
Blood pressure should be routinely monitored in patients treated with epoetin, but
increased monitoring of potassium levels may be warranted.
