ANTIHISTAMINES AND BENZODIAZEPINES
Benzodiazepines impair psychomotor performance, but neither ebastine nor mizolas- tine (both non-sedating antihistamines) further impair this. An enhanced sedative effect would be expected if known sedative antihistamines are given with benzodia- zepines.
No action is needed if ebastine or mizolastine are taken with benzodiazepines. However, warn all patients taking sedating antihistamines of the potential effects, and counsel against driving or undertaking other skilled tasks. The degree of
impairment will depend on the individual patient.
