ANTIPSYCHOTICS AND PROTEASE INHIBITORS - PIMOZIDE

Pimozide is metabolised by CYP3A4, which is inhibited by the protease inhibitors. Raised pimozide levels, which increase the risk of potentially fatal arrhythmias, would be expected.
Concurrent use is contraindicated.
