ANTIPSYCHOTICS AND PROTEASE INHIBITORS - RISPERIDONE

Neuroleptic malignant syndrome occurred in one patient and extrapyramidal adverse effects in another given risperidone with indinavir and ritonavir.
Concurrent use need not be avoided, but be aware that these adverse effects may occur.
