AZOLES AND CO-ARTEMETHER

Ketoconazole doubled the AUC of artemether and lumefantrine in one study. However, this is within is within the range of inter-individual variability and no changes in ECG parameters or increases in adverse events were reported.
This increase is unlikely to be clinically relevant, and no dosage adjustment is necessary when co-artemether is used with ketoconazole.
