AZOLES AND RIMONABANT

Ketoconazole doubles the AUC of rimonabant. Other azoles that are potent inhibitors of CYP3A4, such as itraconazole, are predicted to interact similarly.
The manufacturers of rimonabant recommend caution. Monitor for signs of increased rimonabant adverse effects.
