BETA BLOCKERS AND NSAIDS
The antihypertensive effects of beta blockers may be reduced by NSAIDs. In some cases
this interaction has resulted in large changes in blood pressure, although the effect varies with different beta blocker/NSAID combinations. The most significant increases (of 8 to 10 mmHg) appear to be caused by indometacin.
Only some patients are affected. Monitor blood pressure if an NSAID is started or stopped.
