BUPROPION AND RIFAMPICIN (RIFAMPIN)

Rifampicin markedly increases the clearance of both bupropion and its active metabolite hydroxybupropion. Reduced efficacy might be anticipated on concurrent use.
Monitor the efficacy of bupropion in any patient requiring rifampicin, and titrate the bupropion dose as necessary.
