The combined use of duloxetine and an SSRI may result in serotonin syndrome. Low-dose paroxetine caused a modest increase in the AUC of duloxetine, and fluoxetine is predicted to interact similarly.
The manufacturers of duloxetine advise caution on the concurrent use of SSRIs.
