FIBRATES AND RIFAMPICIN (RIFAMPIN)

Preliminary evidence shows that rifampicin can reduce the plasma levels of the active metabolite of clofibrate by about one-third.
Information is limited but it may be prudent to monitor concurrent use to ensure clofibrate is effective.
