LITHIUM AND THEOPHYLLINE

Serum lithium levels are reduced by 20 to 30% by theophylline, which in some cases caused patients to relapse. However, these fluctuations are considered small.
Consider monitoring lithium levels if theophylline or aminophylline is also given.
