MIANSERIN AND PHENOBARBITAL
Plasma levels of mianserin can be markedly reduced by phenobarbital. Note that primidone is metabolised to phenobarbital and therefore may interact similarly.
It seems likely that the dose of mianserin will need to be increased. Monitor the response to mianserin and increase the dose as necessary.
