QUINIDINE AND TRICYCLICS

Quinidine can significantly reduce the clearance of some tricyclics (desipramine, imipramine, nortriptyline and trimipramine), thereby increasing their serum levels.
Monitor for signs of tricyclic adverse effects. Additive QT-prolonging effects are also possible, see drugs that prolong the QT interval.
