SSRIS AND VENLAFAXINE

The manufacturer of venlafaxine cautions its use with SSRIs because of the potential risks of serotonin syndrome. Cases of this reaction have been reported. Additive antimuscarinic effects have also been seen.
Monitor concurrent use carefully for symptoms including agitation, confusion and tremor.
