Zafirlukast increases the anticoagulant effects of warfarin and bleeding has been seen.
If zafirlukast is given to patients stabilised on warfarin, monitor prothrombin times closely and be alert for the need to reduce the warfarin dosage to avoid over-anticoagulation.
